Or Geo Metro for you Muricans. I'm never complaining about my girlfriend's Micra again. Okay I will, but not as much.
With 4 not so tall adults it was struggling to pull away. I had to sit spread legs to fit behind the driver. Also the suspension seems to consist of 4 wooden blocks between the body and the wheels.

They all tend to be that shade of blue for some reason. Their advantage and disadvantage is that they're cheap.

My mom used to have one of those. But god hate her car so much that he sent someone in a Opel Blazer to t-boned her car just in front of the dealership when she drove it off the lot.

This one was a bit darker shade of blue because it had pretty much never been washed. Also the dude had recently reversed it into a fence, because young driver.
I looked it up and cant believe how light they are; 750kg. Even a 1 litre micra of the same vintage is 850kg. They must be made of cardboard.

He works in mysterious ways...
I hope she was okay though, these things have no crash protection at all.

Are you sure about the 750 kg? It seems much too low to be believable.

If parkers are to be believed it's correct. Well 10kg more but close enough.

There were Swifts here, but not as many as the Geos & Chevys they were rebadged with.
The one you pictured looks odd, because that era didn't have a grille on hood & that's the wrong bumper.
I can tell when I drive around just one coworker the difference. I couldn't imagine 3 others in my car. I think that only happened once, 8 years ago.

That's the most modern facelift they ran with for their last few years here. The one I rode in had a spoiler and alloys too.
It certainly isnt built for four people. All of us are probably below 12 stone and it still bogged the car down. 4 bigger guys wouldve ground it to a hault haha.

Note to self: do not get involved in crash while in Swift.

They must get blown about pretty severely in wind too. My panda has 200 kilos on that and it still feels like I'm having a blowout in a big crosswind.

I've owned 2 Chevy Sprints. They were like the Swift, except smaller and less powerful. But they were so basic that they were charming in their own way. I really miss them. They've all but disappeared on the roads here. Even the Metros and Swifts are getting rare.

Where i come from (Pakistan) these are still in production in a 5 door variant with a 1.3 litre engine. Miserable little car.

I like a small simple car, but I like a reasonable ride and power. The swift put me a little out of my comfort zone haha.

I found it strange they made them until 2003 here, nevermind 2015...

Suzuki works in odd ways. Both, the above mentioned Swift, and the 2005 model Swift, are manufactured and sold concurrently. So is the 1984 Suzuki Alto...sigh..

Is that the one renamed the Mehran? Can't believe they're still selling that thing.

That's the one! Misery on 4 wheels. And to make matters worse, the Mehran and Swift are cheap and the majority of them run on compressed natural gas (also cheap)...so you'll find every road and highway is full of those damn highly-combustible impediments..

Tiny unsafe cars + compressed gas tanks is definitely a worrying combination.

In all fairness, your Panda is a good deal taller and squarer than most of the rest of its class, which I can't imagine helps in a crosswind situation.
My 106 certainly gets buffeted about a bit, but it's more stable than its 830-ish kg would indicate.

To be fair the Panda is only about 10-20 cm taller and as boxy. The top heaviness doest help, the roof having a big motor and glass panes on it.
